Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe Logistics and Procurement lead will be responsible for overall inventory and ordering process for all technology requirements for the Bangalore office including creating organizational and program budgets in collaboration with finance and vendor engagement teams ensuring that budgeted targets and service levels are met.
The person will be responsible for all day-to-day operating activities, including inventory forecast and management, manage supply and demand levels, vendor management, negotiating and purchase of IT equipment, asset reconciliation and integration with other systems, reporting to management and accounting teams, maintain STPI records and adhere to bonding process, manage internal and external audit process
Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in the logistics and procurement team – Specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, fulfillment, planning and execution of technology orders. Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the function, through improvements as well as coordination and communication between technology and stakeholders. Play a significant role in long term planning, operational excellence, management of budget, managing and tracking service levels. Develop long range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans. Drive initiatives in the team and organization that contribute towards commercial effectiveness.
Skills and Experience
More than 7 years of experience. Preferably more than 5 years in procurement, logistics
Experience in working in a global organization; excellent communication skills both written and verbal is a must
Knowledge and experience in STPI bonding policies
Excellent team player and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing major projects or initiatives
Persuasive with details and facts; Ability to look at situation from several points of view
