Awards Update: TheVault.com, Charity Times and More

In October, our firm received awards and recognition from a number of organizations and media outlets. Here are the highlights:

In TheVault.com’s annual survey of Europe’s banking professionals, Goldman Sachs was again ranked #1 on the site’s “Banking 25 Europe” list. We were also ranked #2 in the “Best to Work For” list.

The Hong Kong Government’s Family Council recently gave Goldman Sachs its “Distinguished Family-Friendly Award” and its “Award for Innovation,” in recognition of our efforts in creating a family-friendly environment in our firm.

The Utah Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities presented us with its “Ace Award,” for our work to promote equal opportunities for all of the state’s qualified people with disabilities.

Corporate Responsibility magazine ranked us as one of their “10 Best Corporate Citizens” in our sector. The award takes into account 324 data elements in seven categories: climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights, and philanthropy.

Charity Times magazine recognized our work-placement program with the UK National Autistic Society as its “Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the Year” for 2011.

AsiaRisk magazine recognized us as “Derivatives House of the Year, Japan” and as its “Currency Derivatives House of the Year.” The publication cited our innovation, our commitment to client service, and the liquidity we provided in the wake of the March 2011 earthquake.

EMEA Finance magazine, as part of its 2011 African Banking Awards, recognized our firm as the “Best Foreign Investment Bank in Africa.”
