If you have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of finance, economics and global capital markets, along with a record of academic excellence and professional drive, we encourage you to apply for a summer internship, regardless of your discipline or major.
The goals of the summer internship are to provide participants with a broad overview of the Investment Management Division, its businesses and its clients. You will participate in an exciting and challenging experience that will allow you to build a network of strong relationships throughout the firm. Each 10-week summer program includes extensive training, project work and activities to assist summer analysts and associates in meeting these goals.
We look for individuals who can balance competition and teamwork, have intensity and integrity, intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, and a passion for excellence. In return, we can offer you an internship with real responsibility, outstanding training and the chance to learn from the best.
Candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree may apply for summer analyst internships. Summer Analysts/New Analysts will be hired into the 2 main areas of IMD: Client Solutions and Investing Strategies. Daily activities could include analyzing client portfolios, preparing presentations, developing investment ideas, following the markets and learning how to structure, manage and monitor investment portfolios. You will also attend events throughout the summer that provide the opportunity to meet fellow interns and other Investment Management professionals in an informal environment. Approximately 10 weeks long, our analyst internship program is offered in all of our principal geographic locations.
If you are currently pursuing an MBA or advanced degree, we invite you to apply for a summer associate internship.
Summer Associates participate in broad training designed to teach you about the various Investment Management businesses. Topics covered will include asset allocation, risk analysis and strategy implementation. You will interact with a variety of professionals, such as the firm's strategists, product specialty groups, traders, Private Wealth Advisors and external portfolio manager teams, as you gain a strong understanding of the investment management business.
You will also be given real responsibilities that allow you to explore what it would be like to hold a full-time position at Goldman Sachs. The associate internship program runs for approximately 10 weeks and is offered in all of our principal geographic locations.
In addition to traditional summer programs, we offer unique internship opportunities that vary by division and region. Refer to Intern positions for information.
