Business Overview

Patrick is a co-owner of Patson Corporation, a metal fabricating and metal finishing shop that was founded in 1992 by his father, a veteran.

As the head of business development, Patrick started pursuing government contracts roughly two years ago and spend much of his time navigating the federal procurement process to position the company to win its first government contract.

Challenges

In addition to his interest in learning more about federal procurement, Patrick applied for the program to build relationships with other small business owners and to take advantage of the opportunities for peer learning

Results

Since participating in the program, Patrick has begun to interview candidates for new positions, and has developed a new metal garbage can that is ready for commercial sale.
