Goldman Sachs Gives Helps Veterans Return to Civilian Life
In the Fall of 2010, Goldman Sachs Gives, the firm's donor-advised fund, committed $20 million over five years to fund a network of nonprofits helping wounded and disabled veterans return to civilian life. The initiative focuses on two types of services for veterans and their family members: job placement and readiness, and family support and counseling.
Goldman Sachs Gives has already granted over $15 million to more than 60 non-profits including The Mission Continues, National Military Family Association, Vets Prevail, ThanksUSA, Wall Street Warfighters, and two UK organizations: the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation and Combat Stress.
