Goldman Sachs Asset Management Appoints Kathleen Hughes

London 17 August, 2010 – Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) today announced that Kathleen Hughes has been appointed Global Co-head of Cash Distribution. Along with Co-head Jim Fitzpatrick she will be responsible for overseeing the distribution of GSAM’s liquidity products.
Kathleen Hughes joins from JP Morgan Asset Management where she was Managing Director and Head of Global Liquidity, EMEA. Kathleen joined JP Morgan in 1990, initially focusing on private banking clients. In 2000, she moved to JP Morgan Asset Management with a remit to build the global liquidity platform in EMEA. Kathleen sits on the Board of Directors for the Institutional Money Markets Funds Association, where she is also Chair of the Communications Committee.

Kathleen Hughes will assume her new position in September. She will be based in London.
