Goldman Sachs Asset Management Appoints Paul Trickett

London 5 October, 2010 – Goldman Sachs Asset Management today announced that Paul Trickett has been appointed to lead the Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) group in EMEA. GPS is a provider of portfolio advice and implementation as well as fiduciary and risk management solutions to large institutional clients.

Paul Trickett will join as a Managing Director from Towers Watson where he was Head of the Investment Practice for the EMEA region – overseeing the development and growth of one of the premier investment consulting businesses in the UK and Europe with 400 employees across five countries. Paul’s career with Towers Watson has spanned more than twelve years, and he has held a number of senior positions including member of the management team of the EMEA business, and Chairman of Watson Wyatt’s Risk Committee. Prior to Towers Watson, Paul was Chief Executive of the British Coal Pension Scheme, one of the largest pension schemes in the UK.
