Goldman Sachs Completes Global Atlantic Investment Offering

NEW YORK,  May 1, 2013 – The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced the closing of the private offering of shares of Global Atlantic Financial Group, which is the business formerly known as the Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group.  Institutions and high net worth clients of Goldman Sachs purchased a majority stake in Global Atlantic Financial Group.  The firm retains a minority stake in the new company.
