When Vivint, a residential security and home automation service provider in Provo, Utah, found itself in need of capital to grow and pursue new market opportunities, it turned to Goldman Sachs. As a trusted partner, we arranged or provided more than $800 million in financing over six years to help Vivint achieve its goals. The results: Between 2006 and 2012, Vivint expanded its customer base by 825 percent to 675,000; its employee base grew 465 percent to 2,700; and its recurring monthly revenue base increased 180 percent to more than $34 million, becoming one of only three companies to reach such levels in the industry. It’s a regional success story that hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2013, Vivint was named one of Forbes magazine’s 100 most promising companies in America.
