Tipping Point Community
Supporting a Multitude of Services for Bay Area Residents in Need
Local issues are often best addressed at ground level, which is one reason why our employees are passionate about Tipping Point Community, a nonprofit that fights poverty through finding and funding the most effective direct-service organizations in the Bay Area. The group has raised more than $50 million since 2005 for education, employment, housing and support for more than 160,000 Bay Area residents. It works with 41 organizations throughout the area that provide essential services to families and individuals in need. Goldman Sachs Gives has contributed more than $1.1 million to support Tipping Point Community, and recently partnered with clients and friends to donate $300,000 in honor of a colleague who battled breast cancer. Our people also volunteer their time, with some taking leadership positions in the organization.
