Inside Look: 'Girls Who Code' at Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs partners with Girls Who Code, an organization that educates, inspires and equips girls with the resources they need to pursue future careers in computing fields. Every summer, we host a seven-week immersion program that introduces Girls Who Code students to the world of programming and provides them with mentorship from across the firm. Students work with Goldman Sachs engineers to learn the fundamentals of computer science, develop their coding skills and even build apps of their own.

“We’re supposed to be inspiring the girls, but I definitely think it works bi-directionally and inspires all of us,” says Liz Byrnes, managing director in Goldman Sachs Technology.
