David Ryan is President of Goldman Sachs in Asia Pacific Ex-Japan. He serves on the Management Committee, Firmwide Client and Businesses Standards Committee, Growth Markets Operating Committee and Asia Pacific Management Committee.
Mr. Ryan joined Goldman Sachs in 1992 as a financial analyst in the Investment Banking Division (IBD) and transferred to the Equity Derivative Capital Markets Group in 1996. He moved to Hong Kong in 2005 to head the Financing Group in Asia Ex-Japan and relocated to Singapore in 2008 to become Chairman of South East Asia. In 2010, he was named Head of IBD in Asia Pacific Ex-Japan and he assumed his current role in 2011. Mr. Ryan was named Managing Director in 2001 and Partner in 2004.
Mr. Ryan serves on the Board of Directors for the Cambodian Children’s Fund and the Advisory Council for the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University.
