10,000 Small Businesses UK and Leeds University Business School Win Award

The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in the UK was named today as a European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) Excellence in Practice Award 2012 winner.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK and partner Leeds University Business School were recognized for the original pilot of the 10,000 Small Businesses program in Yorkshire and Humberside in 2010. The program has subsequently been rolled out across the UK in Manchester (North West), Birmingham (West Midlands). 

The five winners—which also include BAE Systems, Lonza AG, Merck & Co., Siemens AG—were selected by an international jury. Winning partnerships will be presented at the EFMD Executive Education Conference in Spain on October 3-5.

EFMD advances excellence in management development in Europe and worldwide by building links between leading business schools and companies, creating and disseminating knowledge on best practices and changing trends and providing access to benchmarking tools and accreditations. EFMD has more than 780 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 82 countries.
