An Update on Your Goldman Sachs Internship
The following email was sent today to all expected Goldman Sachs summer interns globally outside of India.
Across the globe, we all are in different stages of experiencing the pandemic, but one thing is certain – the personal nature of COVID-19 has affected us all in one way or another.
At Goldman Sachs, we are diligently mapping our path back to the new normal. We are regularly consulting with relevant authorities and healthcare experts, as well as closely monitoring government guidance to assess the external environment and establish key protocols. Most importantly, our people-first approach continues to guide our decision making – ensuring the health and safety of our people is our top priority at all times.
With this in mind, and after careful consideration, the 2020 Goldman Sachs Summer Internship Program will be a fully remote experience. As previously communicated to you, please know that we intend to honor the full financial commitment of your original program duration. We will provide further information on how and when payment will be distributed, as well as the additional details on program logistics, in the coming weeks.
Our summer program is core to building the firm’s future talent pipeline. Our primary goal for the program is to enable you to have an enriching experience to learn about, contribute to and make an impact on our firm’s culture, people and business. The team is hard at work exploring existing and innovative new digital solutions to ensure you receive the engagement, mentorship and relationship-building that make our summer internship program so special.
In the spirit of staying connected, we will offer a series of optional pre-internship engagement offerings, including virtual townhalls with Goldman Sachs leaders, virtual roundtables, and the “Get Set for Summer” newsletters which highlight timely insights and thought leadership.
