Goldman Sachs Funds
Goldman Sachs Asset Management has provided creative solutions for investor needs with the addition of several new retail funds. Notable among these is the Goldman Sachs Internet Tollkeeper FundSM, which offers investors a unique opportunity to capitalize on the Internet's significant growth potential using a proven investment strategy. Drawing on the firm's premier research capabilities, the Fund targets growth businesses that provide Internet access, content, infrastructure and services. In the first two months of operation, the Internet Tollkeeper Fund and its sister fund in Japan, netWIN, attracted more than $1.2 billion in assets under management. In the United States, the Internet Tollkeeper Fund was one of the industry's most successful fund launches of the year.
In 1999, Goldman Sachs Asset Management also expanded its CORESM product line to include a new quantitatively driven large-cap value fund, while broadening its active growth equity product line with the Growth Opportunities Fund and the Strategic Growth Fund.
In order to offer clients even better service, the Mutual Funds Group also introduced an Internet trading system for institutional fund clients that delivers real-time access to account and trading information.
As a result of its continuing commitment to world-class client service through technology and quality initiatives, Dalbar, Inc., the industry-leading quality benchmarking firm, recognized Goldman Sachs Asset Management among the mutual fund industry's highest quality service providers.
