Goldman Sachs Gives Helps Veterans Return to Civilian Life
“Goldman Sachs Gives’ support will provide the opportunity for these brave men and women to overcome obstacles and fulfill their potential at home”
— Eric Greitens, CEO and Founder, The Mission Continues
Goldman Sachs Gives is donating $20 million over five years to fund a network of nonprofits helping wounded and disabled veterans return to civilian life. These groups focus primarily on two types of services: job placement and readiness, and support and counseling for family members.
The Mission Continues will serve as the program’s coordinator, placing wounded veterans in community service fellowships and helping them access the services they need to re-assimilate into civilian life. Other partners include Wall Street Warfighters , the National Military Family Association, ThanksUSA, Vets Prevail and two UK organizations: the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation and Combat Stress.
