Through its comprehensive community development platform, UIG is a catalyst in the revitalization of underserved neighborhoods. UIG has committed more than $2.7 billion, facilitating the creation and preservation of approximately 12,800 housing units - the majority of which are affordable to low, moderate and middle-income families - as well as over 1,300,000 square feet of community facility and more than 1,900,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.

Emergency Loans for Small Businesses
In response to Hurricane Sandy, Goldman Sachs is partnering with the New York City Department of Small Business Services and the New York City Economic Development Corporation to provide $10 million in emergency loans to help small business owners impacted by the storm.
