Luc Teboul to Assume Additional Responsibility as Global Head of Engineering for GBM – Private
We are pleased to announce that Luc Teboul will assume additional responsibility as global head of Engineering for Global Banking & Markets (GBM) – Private.
In his expanded role, Luc will help to drive platform consolidation, further modernization, and greater scale, ensuring we continue to deliver cutting-edge technology and services to our clients and internal teams. Additionally, Luc will work within GBM and collaborate with other divisions as we continue to scale our AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency and enhance the client experience across our banking workflows.
Luc will continue to serve as global head of Engineering for Transaction Banking (TxB), working with TxB leadership and reporting to Paul in this capacity. Since rejoining the firm in 2018, Luc has been instrumental in developing the TxB business, leveraging his extensive experience and technical expertise.
Luc initially joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 as a developer in Prime Services Risk Technology, working in London for four years before moving to New York. He was named partner in 2022.

Nick van den Arend to Retire
After more than 23 years of distinguished service, Nick van den Arend, co-head of Global Software in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group within Investment Banking, will retire.
Throughout his career at the firm, Nick has played an important role in growing our software investment banking business, consistently focusing on delivering innovative solutions to our largest Technology clients and addressing their most complex challenges. His deep understanding of the industry has been instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our franchise and fostering long-lasting client relationships around the world.
In addition to his commercial contributions, Nick has made a significant impact on our people and culture by recruiting and developing many Investment Banking professionals, including a number of colleagues across the London office.
Nick initially joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the UK M&A team in 1995 and rejoined the firm as an associate in 2005. Nick was named managing director in 2010 and partner in 2020.

Aaron Arth to Retire
After 29 years of distinguished service, Aaron Arth, a partner in the Financial and Strategic Investors Group within Investment Banking, will retire.
Throughout his nearly three decades at the firm, Aaron has helped to shape our global Financing Group and Investment Banking franchises while driving significant transactions for our clients around the world. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in various capacities, including in his roles as chief operating officer of the Investment Banking Division in Asia Ex-Japan (AEJ) and head of the Financing Group for AEJ, and co-chair of the Asia Pacific Commitments Committee.
Aaron moved to Hong Kong initially to serve as head of ECM for AEJ in 2015 and was based there for eight years. Before his relocation, he was based in New York and led the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging, and Consumer Retail financing businesses within ECM. He transferred to ECM in 1998 to help establish a dedicated real estate effort and later held positions on the Convertible and Derivatives desk, Technology, Media and Telecommunications team, and as the global business unit manager.
Beyond his commercial contributions, Aaron has been a valued leader focused on our culture, including by serving as a mentor to many of our people. He has helped recruit and develop the next generation of bankers, ensuring the continued success and growth of our teams globally.
Aaron joined Goldman Sachs in 1996 as a member of the Real Estate Group in the Investment Banking Division. He was named managing director in 2007 and partner in 2014.

Ken Coquillette to Retire
After 37 years of distinguished service, Ken Coquillette, chairman of the Midwest region for Investment Banking and vice chairman of the Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG), will retire.
Throughout his career at the firm, Ken has played a pivotal role in advising on many of the transactions that have shaped the financial institutions landscape. He has built, maintained, and deepened significant commercial relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on our clients’ most important strategic initiatives in the Americas and globally.
In addition to his commercial contributions and unwavering dedication to his clients, Ken has dedicated significant time to mentoring junior bankers and future leaders of the firm, sharing advice and guidance generously. His focus on developing the next generation of talent has enriched the culture of our FIG teams around the world.
Upon retiring, Ken will continue his active involvement at DePauw University, where he is a trustee and serves as chairman of the Investment Committee.
Ken joined Goldman Sachs in 1988 as an associate in Mortgage Securities and moved to FIG in 1998 where he served as co-head of the Banks and Specialty Finance team, among many other roles. Ken was named managing director in 2002 and partner in 2010.

John Fathers to Become Global Head of Asset Management Engineering
We are pleased to announce that John Fathers will become global head of Asset Management Engineering. In his new leadership role, John will oversee both technology and strats for our Asset Management businesses across public and private. He will drive scale, resilience, and convergence across the platform, which will allow us to continue to deliver enhanced investment performance and a differentiated client experience while remaining focused on risk management.
Previously, John served as head of Engineering for Asset Management Alternatives. Prior to that, he served as head of Engineering for Alternatives Fund and Investment Servicing teams and co-head of Alternatives Deal Orchestration.
John initially joined Goldman Sachs in 1996 as an analyst and was named managing director in 2010. He rejoined the firm in 2019 and was named partner in 2022.

Alex Potter to Leave Goldman Sachs
After nearly 24 years of distinguished service, Alex Potter, head of Asset Management Engineering, will leave the firm.
Throughout his tenure at the firm, Alex has played an important role in growing both our Asset Management and Wealth Management technology and strats organizations. He has held several leadership roles at the firm, including previously serving as global head of Strats for the Consumer and Investment Management Division.
Alex has also been dedicated to developing the next generation of our talent, and has been a mentor and friend to many around the world.
Alex joined the firm in 2001, and was named managing director in 2009 and partner in 2016.

Iain Drayton Named Head of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific
Across Asia Pacific, evolving client needs demand more regionally integrated advice and capital markets execution. Consequently, we are pleased to announce that we are bringing together Japan, Australia/New Zealand, and Asia Ex-Japan teams to form a unified Asia Pacific Investment Banking business, led by Iain Drayton. Iain will work closely with Yoshihiko Yano and Shogo Matsuzawa, co-heads of Investment Banking in Japan, and Nick Sims and Zac Fletcher, co-heads of Corporate Advisory in Australia and New Zealand, to ensure we capitalize on the benefits that a unified franchise will bring.
This structure will enable more holistic client engagement, more effective deployment of global and regional expertise, and increased career opportunities for our people. The change will align Investment Banking with the rest of the firm in the region, enhancing our One Goldman Sachs efforts and wider client engagement.
Iain is currently head of Investment Banking in Asia Ex-Japan. He is a member of the Partnership Committee, Firmwide Client Franchise Committee, Investment Banking Operating Committee, Investment Banking Executive Committee, Asia Pacific Management Committee, and Asia Pacific Inclusion and Diversity Committee. Iain joined Goldman Sachs in Tokyo as a managing director in 2006, relocated to Hong Kong in 2010, and was named partner in 2014.
