The Goldman Sachs Engineering Academy, provides women students in their penultimate year of studies the opportunity to learn more about Engineering in Finance over two training days. This will be open to all degree backgrounds and is designed to introduce students to the financial world through hands on experience.
This event will provide you with a unique combination of experiential learning, upskilling opportunities, and career readiness. You will have the opportunity to meet our engineering teams that build scalable software and systems, architect low latency infrastructure solutions and leverage machine learning alongside financial engineering to continuously turn data into action.
As a participant, you will:
- Discover the diverse roles within Engineering, across Quantitative Strategists, Cyber Security, Software Engineering and Systems Engineering.
- Gain insights from engineers across the firm to navigate the complexities of the financial markets and state-of-the-art methods in quantitative finance
- Acquire tangible resume-enhancing tips and interview skills through interactive workshops.
- Learn about the overall recruiting process within engineering including the technical HackerRank assessment.
- Network with Goldman Sachs Engineers and hear more about their day-to-day responsibilities, experiences and diverse backgrounds.
- Meet members from some of our inclusion networks such as the Women’s Network and Black Engineers Network.
Following your application, you can expect to hear back from us by end of June 2025. The Academy will take place over 3-days in September/October 2025.

As a systems engineer, you have the immediate opportunity to design, develop, implement and own a variety of systems which ensure uninterrupted operation of all our lines of business.
