The report has been updated (April 2014) with full year 2013 data and additional analysis of South Africa’s social and economic performance over the last 20 years, with a focus on the trends over this period. 

South Africa celebrates two decades of freedom on 27 April 2014 and its fifth democratic national election will be held on 7 May 2014.
