Announcing the Formation of the Sponsor M&A Group in the Americas
As part of our continued investment in sponsor clients, we are pleased to announce the formation of a dedicated Sponsor Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice in the Americas. The team, led by Haidee Lee, global head of Sponsor M&A, will comprise more than two dozen bankers including those in our Continuation Fund Advisory business, and will form part of our expanded Global M&A franchise, led by Stephan Feldgoise.
This Sponsor M&A group will focus on the origination and execution of transactions with our sponsor clients, predominantly within the middle market, as well as generate opportunities for our Asset & Wealth Management business. The team will work closely with the Sponsor M&A teams in EMEA and Asia Pacific, collaborating with the Cross Markets Group and FSIG, and be fully aligned with our industry groups globally.
Goldman Sachs remains the premier M&A advisor globally, leading worldwide advisory revenues every consecutive year for more than two decades. And, as noted in our 2025 M&A Outlook, we expect sponsors to continue to represent a large and growing share of M&A across all size ranges and geographies. We anticipate hundreds of portfolio companies with enterprise valuations greater than $1bn to seek exits via secondary transactions, sales or IPOs over the next two to three years. Uniting our transaction specialists in one expanded, global franchise will allow us to better serve these critical large cap and middle market clients with further investment and focus and a greater range of creative solutions.
Please join us in wishing the entire Sponsor M&A practice continued success.
