Goldman Sachs Market Madness: HBCU Possibilities Program

A semester-long virtual crash course in key financial concepts which includes a stipend for participating students and culminates in a case study competition and the opportunity to win prize funding for colleges and universities

At Goldman Sachs, we believe in the power of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their students.

That’s why we started the Goldman Sachs Market Madness: HBCU Possibilities Program, a focused effort to provide HBCU student participants with access to hands-on comprehensive training, networking opportunities, and sustained coaching relationships with Goldman Sachs colleagues. 

Program Dates: January – April 2021


Student Participants:

  • Gained exposure to senior leaders
  • Built meaningful relationships with Goldman Sachs professionals
  • Developed technical and leadership skills

The experience culminated in a memorable capstone project – a case study competition during which students compete in teams to win prize funding for their colleges and universities. Student participants received an academic stipend for their participation and some had the opportunity to interview for a summer 2022 internship.
