10,000 Small Businesses Graduates Second Class from LaGuardia

The graduation of 30 entrepreneurs from 10,000 Small Businesses on May 25, 2011 marked the second class to complete the program at LaGuardia Community College in New York City.

New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, who served as the keynote speaker at the ceremony, underscored the importance of public-private partnerships and how 10,000 Small Businesses is empowering underserved business owners.

Mika Brezkinski and Joe Scarborough, cohosts of MNBC’s “Morning Joe,” also spoke at the graduation and, on Thursday morning, taped a live segment on the impact of 10,000 Small Businesses. Guests included: Mayor Bloomberg; 10,000 Small Businesses’ Advisory Council member, Marc Morial; and program participant Jessica Johnson who graduated from 10,000 Small Businesses in September.
