"Entrepreneurship is all about perseverance, about believing enough to withstand anything and everything that comes your way. If you enjoy what you do, the journey will be fun. There is no shortcut to success."

Business Overview

At Earthen Symphony, a decorative art and design studio I founded in 1995, we use our unique sense of style to offer our customers eclectic and affordable products.

Initially started to provide timeless pieces for office and home environments, Earthen Symphony has become the go-to firm for both corporations and individuals looking to enhance their wall and floor spaces. I believe that the high demand for our creations stem from our ability to customize our works to perfectly reflect our clients' needs and desires.

Before 10,000 Women, I was just an artist who relied on her intuition to make business decisions. I felt like Earthen Symphony had reached a plateau, yet I knew that with a business education, I had enormous potential to expand.

10,000 Women taught me how to properly evaluate my company. For the first time, I was able to analyze such factors as turnover, sales and purchases. Enhancing my ability to delegate responsibilities has both improved processes and my skills as a manager.

As a result of the changes I made to Earthen Symphony, I have hired ten new employees, have had no staff attrition, and have grown my revenues by more than 200%. I have also expanded the company's physical work space to increase our production capacity.

The business training I received through the 10,000 Women program has given me so much confidence, and I feel that it is important for me to help other women become as empowered as I am. In that vein, four out of five new employees are women, and I have implemented soft skills training for all of my employees.

For the first time in my life, my family sees me as a serious businesswomen, an outcome I could have never anticipated.

Future Goals

I am working on creating another workshop with my current employees. This expansion will increase my manufacturing capacity and will help take my business to the next level.
