Alex Honnold has completed some of the world’s most harrowing climbs—most notably “free soloing” El Capitan, a 2,900 foot vertical climb, without any equipment or ropes. While he still continues to push his limits with new climbs, his latest accomplishments have centered around his philanthropic efforts. He joins Goldman Sachs’ John Mallory, co-head of global Private Wealth Management, to discuss how he created a mind frame to conquer his fears while “free soloing,” and his unique approach to philanthropy through The Honnold Foundation. This Talks was filmed at the 2024 PWM Philanthropy Forum in New York City.
