Goldman Sachs Talks

Paul Tudor Jones, Investing in a More “JUST” World

Legendary investor and philanthropist Paul Tudor Jones talks to Goldman Sachs’ Lloyd Blankfein about the guiding principles that have driven his life’s work, from finance to philanthropy.

On JUST Capital [co-founded by Jones in 2013] and corporate responsibility: “The secret sauce of JUST is that we go to the American people and we poll them every year… And we ask them [to] tell us what [they] think is important for corporate justness, and the amazing thing is the American people have an incredible story to tell… If you follow what the American public says are the most important things, then you end up not only being just, but you also end up being more profitable.”

On his philanthropic philosophy: “You really have to be so goal oriented, and you have to have milestones along the way, and you have to hold yourself accountable. And all those things, I learned really early on.”
