Guidance to Goldman Sachs People, Our Clients and Stakeholders Relating to COVID-19

Business Continuity: Out of an abundance of caution, and to support the continuity of our operations and our ability to serve our clients, we are implementing a Business Continuity Planning strategy across divisions and regions. Senior leadership has been meeting daily to coordinate our response, reacting to the rapidly evolving situation and ensuring we are appropriately positioned. Response strategies are being readied in all of our locations and include:

1. Alternate sites available for staff should they be unable to access the primary office due to transport restrictions;
2. Sufficient remote working capacity available for staff to work concurrently;
3. Detailed handover capabilities between teams across regions to support core client engagement functions.

We have Incident Response and Crisis Management Teams ready to support assessment, escalation, and decision making processes in the case of an operational disruption. This includes communication plans with third parties, clients, counterparties and other stakeholders that may be impacted by a disruption to Goldman Sachs operations.

Conferences and Events: Employees have been asked to refrain from attending or hosting large, non-business essential external conferences or events.

Business and Personal Travel: All non-essential international business travel by employees should be postponed. The firm is restricting all business travel to, from and within mainland China, South Korea, Iran and Italy. As it relates to personal travel, employees may make decisions for themselves but are subject to 14-day self-isolation if travel involves certain countries.

Self-Isolation Policy: All employees or contingent workers who have traveled to mainland China, South Korea Iran and Italy, or who have been in close contact with individuals who have been to these countries, as of February 29, are required to register, self-isolate and remain out of the office for at least 14 days. They must be cleared by Wellness in order to return to the office.

Visitors to Goldman Sachs: All visitors must be registered, and employees must ensure guests adhere to the requirements outlined on our internal Goldman Sachs website’s COVID-19 section.
