"For Your Information: Latest Executive Order in New York State on COVID-19"

"The following email was sent today to all employees of Goldman Sachs in our New York and New Jersey offices by Laurence Stein, Chief Administrative Officer.\r\nYesterday, New York issued an&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-signs-new-york-state-pause-executive-order\">executive order for all residents</a>.&nbsp; The order takes effect Sunday, March 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET.\r\nAs part of the order, financial institutions are considered to provide essential services, and can therefore keep their offices open for teams supporting business essential functions.&nbsp; As you think about your working arrangements, please consider the following:&nbsp;&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>If you need to come in to the office due to the nature of your role, you will still be able to do so according to your team’s BCP strategy.&nbsp; As usual, please have your Goldman Sachs ID with you as you enter the office.&nbsp; As a reminder, if your role is one that is assigned to work in the office or from a BCP site, and you are not comfortable doing so for personal reasons, please discuss alternative arrangements with your manager.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\r\n<li>For those who do not need to come in according to your team’s BCP strategy, we strongly encourage you to stay home.</li>\r\n<li>The order does not currently involve travel bans in New York.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\nWe appreciate this is a difficult time for you and your families, and want to remind you that the firm provides resilience support and counselling services globally, including options that are accessible 24 hours a day for our people and their dependents.&nbsp; In addition, please continue to visit the COVID-19 site on GSWeb for up-to-date guidance, answers to frequently asked questions and resilience resources. \r\n \r\nI hope you are taking care of yourselves and your families.\r\nLaurence Stein\r\n"
