Goldman Sachs’ Maternity Management Program in India was recognized by the nonprofit organization NASSCOM, or the National Association of Software and Services Companies, at its Corporate Awards for Excellence in Gender Inclusivity.
NASSCOM awarded the firm ”Best Program for Excellence in Gender Diversity in Companies with less than 5000 Employees” out of a pool of 109 companies.
Bunty Bohra, chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs Services in India, accepted the award at the organization’s Diversity and Inclusion Summit 2016, held in Bengaluru on March 15. He was joined by Human Capital Management’s (HCM) Rupa Parasuram, a vice president in Benefits and Wellness, and Mridula Sankhyayan, a vice president in Global Leadership and Diversity. As part of the event, the firm also participated in a panel discussion highlighting the best diversity practices of winning organizations.
The Maternity Management Program, which launched in April 2015, offers a comprehensive collection of resources and services that support expecting and new mothers. The program offers a dedicated parent resource coordinator onsite, mentoring, personalized coaching, health and nutrition consultations, antenatal fitness programs, lactation consultations and manager sensitization programs. The program is complemented by the firm’s newly expanded onsite Children’s Center.
