About Goldman Sachs in Switzerland

Headquartered in New York, Goldman Sachs draws on over 150 years of expertise and operates a global business with offices in every major financial centre in the world.

Goldman Sachs Bank AG (“GS Bank”) in Zurich was one of Goldman Sachs’ first offices outside the US, opening in 1974 and followed by the bank’s Geneva branch in 2001.

GS Bank is a locally regulated, Swiss-licensed bank and supervised by Swiss banking authorities.

In 2015 we added to our Swiss presence a representative office of Goldman Sachs International, our UK Broker Dealer, which was converted into a branch on 1st Jan 2019. This entity today houses our Global Markets and Investment Banking divisions.
