Amal Alibair, head of the Mid-Atlantic region for Private Wealth Management (PWM) and head of the US Institutional Client Solutions (ICS) business, will leave the firm.
During her nearly 15-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, Amal has served in a number of leadership roles. As head of ICS for many years, she helped to expand our efforts to deliver investment advice and holistic services to endowments and foundations. More recently, she helped grow our Mid-Atlantic PWM business, strengthening client relationships in the region and expanding our client franchise.
Amal has also been committed to promoting inclusion and diversity, serving as sponsor of the Firmwide Black Network. She has helped to recruit and train colleagues across Wealth Management, and has been a friend and mentor to many around the world.
Amal joined the firm in 2010 as an associate, and was named managing director in 2017 and partner in 2022. She serves as co-head of PWM’s inclusive wealth initiative, and is a member of the PWM Sustainable Solutions Council and Steering Committee for One Million Black Women.

We are pleased to announce that William Connolly and Michael Voris will assume additional responsibilities as co-heads of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) in the Americas. In their expanded roles, Will and Mike will work closely with us to strengthen our market-leading equity franchise.
Will is head of Technology ECM, and advises clients on equity-related matters across Technology, Media and Telecommunications. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 as an analyst, and was named managing director in 2015 and partner in 2020.
Mike is global head of Convertible Bond Financing and manages Alternative Capital Solutions and Equity Derivatives in the Americas. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2010 as a vice president, and was named managing director in 2011 and partner in 2020.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that Elizabeth Reed will assume additional responsibilities as chief operating officer for ECM globally, in a newly created role. In this capacity, Lizzie will help drive our ECM strategy to generate new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Lizzie is global head of the Equity Syndicate Desk. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 as an analyst, and was named managing director in 2017 and partner in 2022.

We are pleased to announce that Lisa Donnelly will assume additional responsibility as chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs International Bank (GSIB), subject to regulatory approval.
In this new role, Lisa will oversee GSIB’s strategy, including capital and liquidity planning, infrastructure, operational and financial risk, and regulatory matters.
Lisa serves as chief administrative officer for EMEA, and has oversight of the Operations horizontal organization. In addition, she currently serves as a director on the boards of Goldman Sachs International (GSI), GSIB and Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE (GSBE). She is also co-chair of the Firmwide Compliance and Operational Risk Committee, and a member of the European Management Committee, Firmwide Conduct Committee, Firmwide Data Governance Committee, Firmwide Deputy Regulatory Oversight Committee, GSI Risk Committee, and EMEA Inclusion and Diversity Committee.

As global head of Healthcare, Marshall has fortified our relationships with some of the firm’s most important clients, led the significant growth of our healthcare business, and fostered within the Healthcare Group a culture of collaboration and mentorship. Marshall joined Goldman Sachs as a managing director in 2005 and was named partner in 2008.
With Marshall’s change in role, we are pleased to share that Peter van der Goes, James Sinclair and Yassaman Salas will become global co-heads of the Healthcare Group.
Peter is currently head of Mergers & Acquisitions for the Healthcare Group. He is also responsible for managing the operations of the Healthcare Group. Peter joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an associate, and was named managing director in 2007 and partner in 2016.
Jim is currently co-head of the Healthcare Services and Technology practice. He is also responsible for driving client engagement, targeting and accountability across the healthcare business. Jim first joined Goldman Sachs in 2002 as an analyst and rejoined the firm in 2007 as an associate. He was named managing director in 2015 and partner in 2018.
Yas is currently head of the Medical Device franchise. She is also responsible for leading the Healthcare Group’s efforts to enhance the experience of our people, including recruiting, mentoring, training and career development. Yas joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 as an associate, and was named managing director in 2013 and partner in 2020.

We are pleased to announce that James Ellery and Osmin Rivera will become global co-heads of Emerging Markets Trading in FICC.
In their new roles, James and Osmin will lead our Emerging Markets trading teams to ensure we continue providing a best-in-class, globally cohesive offering to our clients around the world. They will work closely with Rajesh Venkataramani to deliver a comprehensive product suite and superior risk management across the business.
Prior to relocating to London at the start of 2025, James was head of Asia Currencies and Emerging Markets Trading and co-head of Goldman Sachs Singapore. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2015 as a partner.
Osmin will continue to serve as co-head of Latin America and previously was head of Americas Currencies and Emerging Markets Trading. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2010 as a vice president, and was named managing director in 2013 and partner in 2020.

After 26 years of distinguished service, Steve Barry, chief investment officer of Fundamental Equity, will retire at the end of the year.
During his tenure at the firm, Steve has played an integral role in the growth and evolution of our Fundamental Equity business. He joined the firm as a vice president in 1999 and helped build and lead our Mid-Cap Growth Equity business across the US, and in 2003 became co-head of Fundamental Equity’s growth franchise. In 2009, Steve was named chief investment officer of Fundamental Equity, bringing together several separate businesses into one cohesive active equities franchise. Over the years, he has led the business through periods of change and investment cycles while being focused on meeting our strategic priorities and committed to risk management. Steve was named managing director in 2001 and partner in 2004.
Steve has been consistently committed to leading by example and to strengthening our investment culture. He is a mentor and friend to many colleagues around the world.
Outside of the firm, Steve will continue to be involved in his alma mater, Boston College, where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees.

After more than 26 years of distinguished service, Olaf Diaz-Pintado, head of Goldman Sachs and Investment Banking for Spain and Portugal, will retire. Olaf will remain at the firm until the summer, working with our teams in the region to ensure a smooth transition over the coming months.
Throughout his more than two decades at Goldman Sachs, Olaf has helped expand and deepen our Investment Banking franchise in the region, developing trusted relationships with some of our most significant clients and leading multiple transactions across sectors and products. In addition to his responsibilities in Spain and Portugal, Olaf has served as co-head of Investment Banking Services in EMEA and head of the Cross Markets Group in EMEA. In each role, he has emphasized the importance of serving our global client franchise with excellence, while focusing on identifying new opportunities for commercial growth.
In addition to his commercial contributions, Olaf has been dedicated to our people and culture, leading and mentoring many of our bankers across businesses in Europe, and helping recruit and develop junior talent to grow our business in the region.
Olaf joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an associate in Leveraged Finance in London. He was named managing director in 2005 and partner in 2012.

We are pleased to announce that Alexis Deladerrière and Basak Yavuz will become co-chief investment officers (co-CIOs) of Fundamental Equity, effective January 1, 2026. Until then, they will serve as co-deputy CIOs of Fundamental Equity alongside CIO Steve Barry.
Our Fundamental Equity franchise continues to be an important focus area of profitable growth within Public Investing, having more than doubled in assets under management over the last five years. In their expanded roles, Alexis and Basak will lead portfolio management and investment research across the franchise. Together, they will continue to focus on our strategic priorities to generate exceptional investment performance and deliver market-leading solutions for our clients.
Alexis will continue to serve as head of International Developed Markets Equity. He joined the firm as an analyst in 2002, and was named managing director in 2015 and partner in 2022.
Basak will continue to serve as co-head of Emerging Markets Equity. She joined the firm as an executive director in 2011, and was named managing director in 2017 and partner in 2022.

After more than 33 years of distinguished service, Joe DiSabato, head of the Growth Equity business in San Francisco, will retire from the partnership and become an advisory director. We look forward to benefitting from Joe’s continued advice and counsel in this new capacity.
Throughout his career at the firm, Joe has played a significant role in the creation and expansion of our Growth Equity business. After starting his career in New York, he relocated to San Francisco in 2002, where he founded and led our US Growth Equity business. Through a number of investment cycles, Joe has helped to source and execute many important deal opportunities, and his long track record and leadership were instrumental in generating commercial impact for the firm and its funds. He has also been a trusted advisor for many of our portfolio companies and their management teams.
In addition to his commercial contributions, Joe has been committed to building and upholding our strong investment culture. He has served as a role model and has hired and mentored many of our people across the firm.
Joe joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 1988, rejoined the firm in 1994, and was named managing director in 2000 and partner in 2004. He is a member of the Asset Management Private Equity and Growth Equity Investment Committees, and previously served as chair of the Investment Banking Division Growth Investment Committee.
Outside of the firm, Joe will continue with his philanthropic endeavors through his work with the Alzheimer’s Association, MIT’s Picower Institute, Mount Sinai, and UCSF.

After 25 years of distinguished service, Liz Martin, chief operating officer of Engineering in Global Banking & Markets (GBM), will leave the firm at the end of the quarter.
Throughout her time at Goldman Sachs, Liz has held leadership roles in offices around the world, primarily in our markets business, with a focus on serving clients and driving change at the intersection of technological, market structure, risk and strategic inflection.
She was global head of Electronic Trading and European Equities Execution until 2022, based in London, where she led teams focused on building best-in-class infrastructure to expand our client wallet share and experience, particularly in the quantitative equity and financing spaces. Liz was also a board member of the NASDAQ U.S. Exchanges during this period. Until 2016, she was chief of staff for the co-heads of Global Equities and the co-head of Global Markets, based in New York. Earlier in her career, she spent a decade as an equity derivatives trader in TMT in New York.
Most recently, Liz focused on advancing new initiatives around growth and efficiency in our GBM engineering franchise. Previously, she was head of Enterprise Partnerships in Platform Solutions in Dallas.
Throughout her career, Liz made a significant impact on our people and culture. She has been passionate about recruiting and advancing inclusion, mentoring diverse professionals, and supporting our inclusion networks globally. Liz was also co-chair of the Global Inclusion and Diversity Committee from 2017 until 2022.
Liz is a member of the Partnership Committee and Firmwide Strategic Investment Committee. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as an analyst, and was named managing director in 2009 and partner in 2016.

We are pleased to announce that Craig Murray will become head of the Financial and Strategic Investors Group (FSIG) in Asia Pacific. In this role, Craig will work closely with FSIG, Capital Solutions Group and regional leadership to enhance and strengthen our FSIG franchise and address our clients’ strategic objectives. Craig will continue to serve as head of the Financial Institutions Group in Asia Pacific Ex-Japan. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2000, and was named managing director in 2010 and partner in 2018.

Teppei Takanabe will become head of FSIG in Japan, in addition to his current role as head of the Financial Institutions Group in Japan. Takanabe-san joined Goldman Sachs in 2000, and was named managing director in 2008 and partner in 2024.
Devarajan Nambakam will become head of FSIG in India, in addition to his current role as co-head of Investment Banking in India. Dev joined Goldman Sachs 2006 and was named managing director in 2017.
Tim Freeman and Karmen Lau will become co-chief operating officers for FSIG in Asia Pacific. Tim is currently head of FSIG in Australia and New Zealand and has been named co-head of the Capital Solutions Group in Australia and New Zealand. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2011 and was named managing director in 2017. Karmen joined Goldman Sachs in 2011 and was named managing director in 2019.
Together this group will allow us to deliver a comprehensive suite of services within the Capital Solutions Group and meet strategic objectives for FSIG clients in these key investment markets.

After 31 years of distinguished service, Christoph Stanger, chairman of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) in EMEA, will retire at the end of the first quarter.
Throughout his tenure at the firm, Christoph has played a critical role in developing our market leading Equity Capital Markets franchise in Europe and driving many industry leading transactions, as well as many of the most significant IPOs and capital raisings undertaken in the region. Additionally, he has enhanced our client franchise by building longstanding relationships with numerous clients and serving as a trusted advisor to them on important strategic initiatives.
In addition to his commercial contributions, Christoph has been a valued leader of our teams and a mentor to many, and he has helped recruit and develop the next generation of bankers.
Christoph joined Goldman Sachs in 1994 as an associate in Investment Banking in Frankfurt. He was named managing director in 2002 and partner in 2006.

After more than 24 years of distinguished service, Francois Rigou, head of Product Engineering in Global Banking & Markets – Public, will retire.
Throughout his career at Goldman Sachs, Francois has helped to expand and deepen the integration of engineering in our FICC and Equities businesses, with a focus on delivering effective solutions supporting our clients around the world. He has led divisional and firmwide engineering and strats teams in each of Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas, contributing to our franchise in different markets. In addition, Francois has been committed to driving a number of initiatives that have strengthened our risk framework and platform resilience.
In addition to his commercial contributions, Francois has been a long-time mentor to many of our people, and a key proponent of our culture of collaboration and excellence across Engineering.
Francois joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in the Securities Division Strats Group in London in 2001 and subsequently led the Strats team in the Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange businesses. In 2011, he moved to Hong Kong to head the Securities Division Strats Group in Asia Pacific. From 2017 to 2020, Francois served as head of Engineering for Asia Pacific. He was named managing director in 2008 and partner in 2012.
