Goldman Sachs Announces Redemption of 6.125% Notes Due November 1, 2060
NEW YORK, NY, October 16, 2015, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced that it will redeem all of the issued and outstanding 6.125% Notes Due November 1, 2060 (the “Notes”) on November 1, 2015 (the “Redemption Date”). The Notes have an aggregate principal amount of $1,325,000,000 and trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “GSF”.
The Notes will be redeemed for a redemption price equal to 100% of the principal amount of the Notes (the “Redemption Price”), plus accrued and unpaid interest to but excluding the Redemption Date (together, the “Redemption Payment”). Because the Redemption Date is not a Business Day under the terms of the Notes, the Redemption Payment will become due and payable on November 2, 2015. From and after the Redemption Date, all interest will cease to accrue on the Notes.
