Protecting 5 Million Acres of Forest
The power of capital meets the beauty of nature thanks to the development of green bonds –made possible by The Conservation Fund x Goldman Sachs partnership.
The Conservation Fund is a national nonprofit organization with the mission to accelerate conservation in a smart way, creating solutions that make environmental and economic sense. Through their Working Forest Fund, they support our nation’s forests and the resources they provide such as clean air, clean water and wildlife habitat.
With GS’s guidance as the sole underwriter, they were able to issue the nation’s first green bond solely dedicated to conservation. These 10-year green bonds raised $150 million to accelerate and scale their mission of protecting 5 million acres of America’s working forests.
