I grew up in Lubbock, Texas and moved to Dallas after graduating, where I started my career in sales. Eventually, I moved into communications and marketing with other organizations before joining Goldman Sachs in 2020.
I joined Goldman Sachs with no prior experience in the finance industry, so I wasn’t sure what to expect or if it would be a good fit. I was pleasantly surprised by the culture and connectivity. The firm provided many resources to learn more and get acclimated – and I quickly established personal connections with my colleagues – which made integrating easy, despite joining in a remote environment.
The firm is truly an inclusive environment. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I often see performative activism and allyship in the corporate world. Goldman Sachs has made actionable efforts to promote an inclusive environment by listening to diverse colleagues’ experiences and providing resources for people to learn more and make connections with colleagues globally. Everyone’s unique experiences and opinions are valued, and I can bring my full self to work here.
I’m a huge sports fan, and I love attending all types of live events. I am always up for a concert or a live sporting event of any kind. I love being outdoors – whether I’m hiking, camping, kayaking or indulging in a glass of wine at a vineyard – and I enjoy documenting all of my adventures through photography or videography.
