Our Small Vendor Program aims to break down barriers to market access for small businesses of all backgrounds, enabling them to compete equally for business opportunities. This drives competitiveness and innovation in our supply chain, stimulates positive socio-economic impact and reflects the communities where we live and work and the clients we serve around the world. Our vendor engagement efforts have been previously recognized by WEConnect International. We progressed from a Silver-level Champion in 2022 to Gold in 2023, achieving Platinum-level Champion status in 2024.

The Goldman Sachs Vendor Code of Conduct (Code) describes Goldman Sachs’ expectations of how its current and future vendors conduct business. All vendors engaged in providing products and services to Goldman Sachs are expected to be aware of and act in accordance with the Code, including aligning to our guidelines, policies and practices, and communicating and enforcing the Code provisions throughout their organization and across their supply chain, including to subcontractors.

Due to the regulated nature of the industry we operate in, there are various activities we expect our partners to undertake and policies to comply with, including but not limited to the activities listed below which may vary based on region and service.

• Before engaging with a new partner, we will complete an onboarding process including background checks and other due diligence
• Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and / or an Evaluation agreement as appropriate
• As part of vendor onboarding, we will put in place an appropriate contractual agreement governing our relationship
• If a vendor partner requires access to the firm’s buildings or systems, they will be subject to additional requirements 

Approved vendor partners will be onboarded to the applicable firm platforms and processes and will be assigned a dedicated Goldman Sachs vendor contact.

Onboarding Activities

• Contracted vendors will receive a registration questionnaire. View the Goldman Sachs vendor registration guide: Americas / EMEA / Asia. Details requested will include your contact information, bank account details, and tax information. Please ensure you provide your company’s accounts/finance team’s email address on the questionnaire
• A new vendor onboarding triggers a series of risk reviews to be performed to evaluate specific areas of risks associated with the engagement (e.g., anti-bribery reviews, information security reviews, financial condition assessments). These risk reviews assess, and in some cases, test the vendor’s business continuity plans and the ability to provide critical services to the firm in periods of business disruption to ensure continuity of services
• Once an executed contract is in place, commercial commitments will be digitized in the firm’s systems and you receive an electronic transaction record (e.g., Purchase Order or Statement of Work (SOW)) that must be used to invoice us

Subject to the contract terms, you may submit an invoice for payment to the firm, against your electronic transaction record. The invoice will go through an approval process before it is paid as per the terms of contract. Electronic submission is the firm’s preferred method of invoicing, enabling faster payments and increased transparency. Electronic platforms for invoice submission vary based on product or service offered. Please ensure that the invoice copy has all necessary details including your bank details, tax forms, Purchase Order/SOW number. Missing or incomplete information may delay your invoice in the approval and payment process.
