As a firm, we believe it is critical that our teams reflect the diversity of the clients we serve and the communities in which we work and live. Throughout the month of June, we are celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Highlights of our Pride Month activities across our offices in the Americas, EMEA, and India:

Strengthening Our Communities

Pride celebrations are taking place across our offices, with many opportunities for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to meaningfully connect with senior leaders and each other: Highlights include Pride Mixers in Dallas, New York/Jersey City, Salt Lake City, and London, and the second annual Pride Carnival in Bengaluru, showcasing local LGBTQ+ business owners.  

The Pride flag outside of our New York headquarters will be flown throughout June.

Fostering an Inclusive Workplace

The firm is also hosting multiple panels and discussions on varied and timely topics. Highlights include:

  • Financial Planning for the LGBTQ+ Community: Navigating Unique Considerations and Complexities (Americas)
  • The Power of Acceptance: The Importance of Family Support for LGBTQ+ Individuals (India)
  • Perspectives on LGBTQ+ Intersectional Healthcare and Legislation (Americas and EMEA)
  • Founders and Executives Panel: A Discussion on Disruption (Americas)
  • Celebrating Our Authentic Selves: A Panel Discussion on Intersectionality (EMEA)

Amplifying LGBTQ+ Voices

Colleagues in Salt Lake City gather to celebrate Pride Month.

Finally, there are opportunities for colleagues to hear from prominent LGBTQ+ voices from within and outside of our firm. Highlights include:

  • Goldman Sachs is partnering with Lesbians Who Tech & Allies – the world’s largest LGBTQ+ technology community -- to sponsor the 2022 #PRIDESummit, with featured Goldman Sachs events on engineering, quantitative finance, and building brand authenticity. (Americas)
  • The firm will host two Talks at GS sessions featuring WNBA champion Candace Parker and Oscar de la Renta creative director Fernando Garcia will highlight how their journeys to success are shaping the futures of their respective fields. (Americas)
  • The firm will host a monologue reading of “Ek Madhav Baug” by renowned Indian film and television actor Mona Ambegaonkar will tell the story of a young man coming to terms with his sexuality, through the eyes of his mother. (India)
