Recruiting Scams Alert

Thank you for your interest in Goldman Sachs.

From time to time, Goldman Sachs is made aware of external parties falsely posing as Goldman Sachs recruiters across various platforms including LinkedIn, instant messaging accounts (i.e. SMS, WhatsApp), free email accounts (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) and in some extreme instances, these parties are making requests for monetary payment.

Please be aware of recruiting scams from Individuals who:

  • Claim to have seen your resume on a site you are unfamiliar with;
  • Reach out offering a job without an interview; or
  • Refer you to a paid resume review service as part of the application process.

Goldman Sachs will not:

  • Conduct interviews via video chat rooms and will only utilize our approved interview platform, HireVue, or a GS account on Zoom.
  • Request monetary payments from candidates at any point throughout the recruiting process.
  • Request sensitive personal information such as your social security number, bank account details, or passport information prior to accepting an offer.

These scams are complex as the perpetrators often use genuine real employee names and replicate proprietary documentation. If you think you or someone you know has been a victim of such fraud, please report the matter to the police or other relevant authorities. Please refer to the ‘Security & Fraud Awareness’ page for additional information and resources for reporting at the bottom of the page.
