Meet Anne Anquetin

Business Name: Passementerie Verrier

Industry: Luxury

Year founded: 1925

Program Cohort & Year: C3, 2022

The programme gave me the necessary structure to turn my doubts into an action plan. Thanks to this strategic validation, we achieved significant growth.

Founded over 100 years ago, La Passementerie Verrier manufactures bespoke textile trimmings and finishes for high-end interior design in Paris. Recognized as a Living Heritage Company, the firm employs a team of specialist craftsmen and collaborates with interior designers, architects and cultural institutions. Its ambition is to preserve exceptional French expertise while incorporating a contemporary touch.

In 2018, Anne acquired La Passementerie Verrier with the aim of breathing new life into the company while preserving its unique traditional expertise. Two years after the takeover and the start of the modernization process, the Covid crisis hit the company hard, causing a significant loss of revenue. Faced with these difficulties and doubts about her strategy, Anne used this period to work on fundamental issues, such as redesigning the catalogues. She was looking for a programme to validate her strategy and provide her with the tools and methods to move forward.

Through Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) programme, Anne found the strategic and operational methodology she needed to revive her business. By reaffirming her development strategy and benefiting from the 10KSB network, she was able to implement her growth plan.
