SAFE Regeneration use creative arts to enable clients to deliver programmes and projects, developing the skills of local people of all ages, backgrounds and capabilities. The organisation has used its experience of working across numerous sectors to support the development of other creative social enterprises through various European funding streams.

Challenges

Before joining 10,000 Small Businesses UK, Brian was uncertain how to take his vision of community regeneration forward. He wanted to expand the skills training and local engagement he had already started while keeping the enterprise profitable, and securing revenue for future projects.

Results

Since taking part in the program, SAFE has bought more property in Bootle, and has started a long-term re-development plan that uses residential space to generate funding for a new outdoor space, transforming the area into a vibrant hub for the community.
