John E. Waldron

John is president and chief operating officer and a member of the Board of Directors of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. He is a member of the Goldman Sachs Management Committee, co-chair of the Firmwide Enterprise Risk Committee and chair of the Firmwide Reputational Risk Committee.

John is a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of International Finance, a member of the International Advisory Council of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, a member of the US-China Business Council, a member of the International Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and a member of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group.

In addition, John is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Clinic, a member of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, a member of the Board of Trustees of Middlebury College, a member of the Board of Trustees of Southern Methodist University and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

John graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Middlebury College with a BA in English in 1992.
