Michael Brandmeyer

Mike is global head and chief investment officer of the External Investing Group (XIG) within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. XIG invests in leading private equity, hedge fund, real estate, infrastructure, credit, public market and Impact managers as a limited partner, secondary-market investor, co-investor or management company partner. He also serves on the group's investment committees across asset classes. Mike also serves as a member of the Management Committee and Partnership Committee.

Previously, Mike was co-head of the Goldman Sachs Vintage Secondaries platform. Before joining XIG, he was a high yield analyst and portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Group. Mike joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in the Investment Management Division in 1995 and was named managing director in 2004 and partner in 2012.

Mike serves as a member of the Advisory Board at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.

Mike earned a BA in International Affairs from the University of California, Davis, an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MIA from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He is a CFA charterholder.
