The following email was sent today to all employees of Goldman Sachs in our Hong Kong office.
Following the March 19 announcement concerning our colleague in Cheung Kong Center being identified as a highly probable case of COVID-19, we are pleased to inform you that subsequent government tests on the individual have shown the person to be negative. This means that the person’s earlier test result at a private clinic was a false positive. The individual has been released from hospital and is not subject to any further restrictions. All employees who were communicated with as part of the contact tracing process are also immediately released from any restrictions.
We will re-open the 60th and 67th floors in Cheung Kong Center for occupation with immediate effect. As always, you have the option to discuss with your manager remote work arrangements if you are not comfortable coming to the office.
