NEW YORK, NY, September 8, 2021 – The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced that Kevin Sneader will join the firm as the co-president of Asia Pacific Ex-Japan alongside Todd Leland.
Kevin joins Goldman Sachs after a 32-year career at McKinsey & Company, where he served as the firm’s global managing partner, a role he assumed in 2018. He will relocate back to Hong Kong later this year where he was based from 1996 to 1998 and again from 2014 to 2020. Kevin will be a partner and a member of the Goldman Sachs Management Committee.
Commenting on the appointment, David Solomon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs, said: “The Asia Pacific region continues to represent exciting growth opportunities for Goldman Sachs. Kevin’s international and Asia experience, and his deep relationships with global and Asian clients in multiple industries will contribute significantly as we execute our strategy.”

Kevin will work closely with Todd Leland to continue to develop Goldman Sachs’ client franchise and its strategic growth plan.
Kevin joined McKinsey in London in 1989, and then worked in Asia and Europe before moving to the US in 1999. He later became managing partner of the firm’s practice in the UK and Ireland, and was later appointed as the leader of its Asian offices from 2014 to 2018, before being named as the firm’s global managing partner.
Kevin earned a law degree from the University of Glasgow and an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
