Melissa Goldman Rejoins Goldman Sachs as Partner and Global Head of Technology Engineering for Global Banking & Markets

NEW YORK, Oct 7, 2024 – The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) today announced the appointment of Melissa Goldman as Partner and Global Head of Technology Engineering for Global Banking & Markets (GBM).

In her role, Melissa will work with teams across GBM and Core Engineering to drive the firm’s engineering strategy for the business and help deliver market-leading solutions to better serve our clients. She will also help ensure that internal engineering solutions developed to support the scale and operations of the business continue to adhere to the highest standards in risk management. 

Based in New York, Melissa rejoins the firm from Google where she was a vice president and global head of corporate engineering. In this role, she oversaw the creation and deployment of technologies and systems that power Google’s global enterprise. Melissa also has eight years of experience at JPMorgan Chase, where she most recently served as chief information officer for corporate technology as well as chief data officer.

Melissa first joined Goldman Sachs at the start of her career as an analyst in 1994. She worked at the firm for 20 years holding various leadership positions with a focus on managing technology teams across risk disciplines including market, credit and liquidity risk, controllers and collateral management. She was named Managing Director in 2008.

Melissa earned a BS in Applied Math and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
