The Goldman Sachs Armed Forces Integration Program in India

Launched in 2014 in India, the 12-week Goldman Sachs Armed Forces Integration Program (AFIP) provides officers joining the workforce after serving in  the armed forces with an opportunity to develop their professional skills, strengthen their understanding of financial services and prepare for future careers in the industry. The paid  internship offers a guided period of exploration with an opportunity to sharpen their skills in a work environment that is significantly different from their experience in the armed forces.

AFIP offers a unique opportunity to armed forces officers to develop their professional skills, strengthen their understanding of financial services and prepare for a new career in the industry. It also gives participants the ability to explore a new area of expertise and build new skills.

The program is crafted as a “hands on” internship experience and offers the veteran a real view into future responsibilities and demands. A structured training curriculum includes skills training, extensive business overviews, senior leader connectivity, and mentor and buddy programs to help acclimatize to the firm’s culture. Every participant will have a formal performance review process, ongoing feedback and a weekly Human Resource team connect through the internship.
