Serpentine Pavilion 2026

Goldman Sachs is proud to support the Serpentine Pavilion for the 12th consecutive year. This year Mexican architecture studio LANZA atelier, founded by Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo, has been selected to design the 2026 Pavilion. Titled a serpentine, LANZA atelier's Pavilion at the Serpentine will debut to the public on June 6, 2026.

Serpentine Pavilion 2025

Goldman Sachs is proud to continue its 11-year partnership with the Serpentine Pavilion. We're delighted to support Marina Tabassum's A Capsule in Time, a design that embodies the spirit of experimentation and innovation that defines this iconic commission. This milestone underscores our commitment to fostering creativity and pushing architectural boundaries.

Serpentine Pavilion 2024

For the 10th consecutive year, we are proud to support the Serpentine Pavilion – this year showcasing the vision and designs of Seoul-based Korean architect Minsuk Cho and his firm Mass Studies. Titled Archipelagic Void, the 23rd Serpentine Pavilion will consist of five ‘islands’ designed around an open space.

Serpentine Pavilion 2023

Serpentine Pavilion is a great example where every year since 2000 a talented architect is given an opportunity to share their vision with a largely new public as part of creating their first structure in the UK. This year, we are delighted that Lina Ghotmeh is bringing her convivial À table to Serpentine’s lawn.

Serpentine Pavilion 2022

Goldman Sachs is proud to be supporting Serpentine’s Pavilion commission for the eighth consecutive year. The 21st Serpentine Pavilion is designed by internationally renowned multidisciplinary artist, Theaster Gates. Titled Black Chapel, the commission is realised with the architectural support of Adjaye Associates and will open to the public of Friday 10 June 2022.

Serpentine Pavilion 2021

Goldman Sachs has a longstanding commitment to supporting the arts and – for the seventh consecutive year – we are proud to partner with the Serpentine on the 2021 Pavilion. The Counterspace commission is a testament to Sumayya Vally and the extended Serpentine team, who have worked to deliver this project through an enormously challenging period. We are inspired by the innovation, creativity and energy that has gone into realising this year’s structure and we look forward to seeing the Pavilion come to life.

Serpentine Pavilion 2019

Goldman Sachs is proud to sponsor the Serpentine Pavilion for a fifth year running, this year designed by Japanese architect Junya Ishigami. Ishigami is celebrated for his experimental structures that interpret traditional architectural conventions and reflect natural phenomena. His design takes inspiration from roofs, the most common architectural feature used around the world. The design of the 2019 Serpentine Pavilion is made by arranging slates to create a single canopy roof that appears to emerge from the ground.

Serpentine Pavilion 2018

Goldman Sachs is proud to sponsor the 2018 Serpentine Pavilion for a fourth year running, this year designed by Frida Escobedo. Escobedo is the first female architect since the inaugural pavilion by Zaha Hadid, and the youngest to design the Serpentine Pavilion. She was born in 1979 in Mexico City. Among a multitude of recognitions, Escobedo received the Emerging Voices Award by the Architectural League of New York in 2017.

Serpentine Pavilion 2017

Goldman Sachs is proud to sponsor the Serpentine Pavilion for a third year running, designed this year by award winning architect, Francis Kéré. Diébédo Francis Kéré  is the principal architect at Kéré Architecture based in Berlin, founded in 2005. Kéré was born in 1965 in Gando, Burkina Faso, west Africa and trained at the Technical University of Berlin.
